Our Aviation Community

At Wolf Lake Airport, we’re more than a private airstrip for flyers in the Matanuska-Susitna Borough. Our private airport and airpark is home to an aviation community of passionate flyers from throughout the Mat-Su Valley and beyond.

Tucked away in Chugach and Talkeetna Mountains, you can find us located between Wasilla and Palmer, AK, just 50 miles north of Anchorage. We welcome flyers from all over Alaska to join us!

Prepare for your next flight and stay tuned for more events happening in and around the community.

Alaska Airmen’s Memorial

The Alaska Airmen’s Memorial was established to honor fallen aviators who relished in the joys of flight and took on the challenge of Alaska’s vast wilderness. Anyone wishing to honor a loved one with an engraved plaque at the Memorial wall, contact John Glass 414-4481 or Aspen at Steppers 746-1880.

Wolf Lake Airport is the culmination of over three decades of hard work and dedication, and we’re proud to serve as Alaska’s premier private airport.

In 2018, we completed our float slip ramp improvements, providing a better and safer launch site for flying aircrafts.

We finally sealed our vision in July 2020 after celebrating our main runway resurfacing!
